The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it is alarmed regarding the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of sassa status check lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The service level made for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
